I made a payment via PaybyCash, where are my gPotatoes?
We have no control over when PaybyCash processes payments. Some of the payment methods they accept take minutes to process while others can take weeks. If you feel your payment has taken longer than it should you can contact PaybyCash directly at help@paybycash.com.
I sent in a moneyorder or cashiers check, where are my gPotatoes?
Moneyorders or cashier’s checks sent to us directly are normally processed once every week. Depending upon when we receive your payment the processing time can vary. If it has been 30 days or more since you mailed your payment, and you have yet to receive any gPotato; it is likely that your payment has been lost or stolen during transit to us. In this case we advise that you contact the financial institution for which the money order or cashier’s check was purchased from and attempt to obtain a refund on the grounds that the money order or cashier’s check may have been lost or stolen during transit to its recipient.
Can payments be made with a gift card?
If the gift card has a Visa, Mastercard, or Discover logo on it you can use it through the direct credit card payment method, Google Checkout or PayPal. For the card to be accepted it needs to have a name and billing address attached to it. To add a name and address to the card please contact the credit card company or bank that issued the card. There should be a website or phone number on the back of the card.
Can someone else make a payment for me?
For someone to make a payment to an account that is not registered in their name a Payment Consent Form must be submitted. The form can be found on the left hand side of the payment option page at www.gpotato.com. It needs to be filled out by the owner of the funding source and emailed, mailed, or faxed to us along with proof of identification. This can either be a copy of photo ID or the signature on the form can be notarized at the bottom. The payment source owner may also call the gPotato Billing Team, during business hours ( Monday- Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm) and give authorization for payments to be accepted. Why was my payment suspended?
If your payment shows as suspended it is because we are verifying that the owner of the funding source is the gPotato registrant. If you made the payment during our business hours, 9AM to 6PM PST, your payment should be processed fairly quickly. If you made the payment outside of our business hours, your payment will be processed the following day. If your payment is approved the gPotatoes will be added to your account. If your payment is not approved it will be refunded. If you paid with a credit card the payment will show as an authorization for a few days and then drop off and not actually charge to the card. If you paid with a debit card a charge will show on the card and then be refunded by your bank. The length of time it takes depends on your credit card company/bank. Please contact them directly for more information.
My payment was declined, why was I charged?
Sometimes a payment made via the direct credit card option will be authorized but ultimately fail to settle. The debited amount that appears within your credit card account is simply the authorization placed on the card. As the attempt to settle the authorization has failed, the authorization will be nullified. This occurs when the card issuer recognizes that the authorization attempt has failed. The length of time needed for this realization is different for each financial institution. Please consult your bank or credit card company if you need additional information.
I received an error message when making a PayPal payment that had the code 10417 or 10422, why?
These error messages can indicate a problem with your PayPal account. Please contact PayPal directly to make sure everything is ok with your account. Should everything be fine, but you still receive the error message, you can use the PayPal work around method to make a payment to us. Please go to www.paypal.com and after signing in click on the send money tab. Our PayPal account email address is buygpotato@gala-net.com. Payments must be made in USD for $10, $20, $30, $50, and $100. Other amounts will not be accepted. A note must be added to either the note section or the subject line that states your account name. Payments made this way are processed during our business hours, 9AM to 6PM PST Monday through Friday.
I am trying to redeem a game card, why is it not working?
gPotato game cards are sold at Target, Best Buy, Walmart, Safeway, Vons, Randalls, Tom Thumb, and Genuardi’s grocery stores. They can be redeemed here (https://billing.gpotato.com/FillUp/GameCardFrm.asp). If you receive an error message it is likely that the card was not activated and you would need to take it back to the store along with the receipt for activation. If you did not obtain the prepaid game card from the above listed retailers, then it is very likely that you have in your possession an Ultimate Game Card that is sold by PaybyCash. These are sold in many retailers such as Blockbuster and a variety of convenience stores like 7-11. These cards must be redeemed using the PaybyCash payment option.
Are there limits on buying gPotatoes?
All gPotato customers are subject to a limitation on the amount of money they may spend and the amount of gPotato they are able to obtain on a daily and monthly basis. For the first 30 days the limit is $50 a day and $400 a month. After that the limit raises to $100 a day and $800 a month. The monthly limit resets on the 1st of each month. The limit only applies to payments made via PayPal, credit card, and Google Checkout. If you have reached the limit and would like to purchase additional gPotatoes you can use any of our other payment methods.
Can I purchase a sale item after the sale ends?
Once a sale ends we can no longer offer the items or special prices associated with the sale. Almost all items will be available again in the future.
Why did I not receive gPotatoes for my survey/offer?
Surveys will give you the gPotatoes instantly as long as you were eligible and completed the full survey. Offers can vary. Some of them give you the gPotatoes right away and others can take from a few days up to a few weeks. You can click on the "Need Help?" link on the survey/offer page to view your gPotato rewards. This section will also tell you the status of the surveys/offers you have done. If you have any questions as to why you have not yet been rewarded, you can click the contact us link to send the survey/offer company an email.
How do I reset my gPotato account password?
Click on the “Forgot your User ID or Password?” link at www.gpotato.com, then enter you gPotato account ID, email address registered to that account, and press the submit button. You should receive an email, containing a link that will assist you in resetting your password. Click on the link, enter your information on the next page, including your desired password, click submit, and your done. If you do not receive the email or you need to change the email address on your account please email registration@gala-net.com .
I paid with Google Checkout and it’s been more than 15 minutes, where are my gPotatoes?
Google Checkout has to first verify your payment before they send it to us for processing. Their verification process can be anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. Once they have sent your payment our way you should receive a notification stating “ Your item has been shipped”; this means your payment has been processed by Google and now we need to verify it. If you don’t receive an email stating your item has been shipped, it means Google could not process your payment. In the event a payment cannot be processed by Google, the payment is cancelled.
The amount of gPotatoes on the fill-up page decreased after I pressed the Fill-Up Now button. How many gPotatoes am I getting?
The amount you select on the fill-up page is the amount you’ll receive when your purchase is completed. The reason a different amount is displayed on the fill up page is because all gPotatoes, including bonus, are displayed. When you press the fill-up now button, it shows how many gPotatoes you are purchasing minus the bonus gPotatoes. When you have completed your transaction you’ll see that the amount purchased is the same as what you first selected on the fill-up page.
